Homebrew porting at its finest.
Don't have a phone that can reliably support Pokemon Go? A used Sega Dreamcast with a portable Visual Memory Unit may just be the lifehack you need!
As spotted on Instagram (via Ars Techina), a VMU coder by the online name guacasaurus_mex is behind the project. Though the little memory card obviously has no GPS or augmented reality camera, guacasaurus_rex says his port will have a "randomly generated map grid in place of GPS functionality and timing based mini game to throw Pokeballs".
The port will be hitting, uh, Dreamcast VMUs in 2017; in the meantime you can check out guacasaurus_mex's other ports, which include Flappy Bird.
