From Community to the world of women's wrestling.

According to Deadline, the Community alum will play Ruth, a struggling actress in Los Angeles who enters into the world of women's wrestling by joining a weekly series about the sport.

In addition to her role in Community as Annie Edison, Brie also had recurring role in Mad Men and does voice work for the Netflix animated series BoJack Horseman.

GLOW is created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, and draws story inspiration from the real life events of a 1980s female wrestling league of the same name, which stands for Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. The organization was created in response to the male-oriented World Wrestling Federation (now the WWE).

Orange Is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan is executive producing the series, which will span a total of 10 episodes.
