Updated: How To Find Everything in No Man's Sky

No Man's Sky includes a dizzying array of Blueprints for new Items, Ship Upgrades, and more. This page is your one-stop shop on how to find everything you're looking for.

Products are Items manufactured within the player inventory from collected raw materials. These recipes can be most easily discovered using Signal Scanners to search for Colonial outposts.

This will generally lead to a Colonial Outpost or Manufacturing Facility. The terminals in these facilities often reward players with Product Blueprints.

Blueprints can also be found by walking over the large circular floor panels in Atlas Stations.

EditFinding Ruins and New Words

Want to master intricacies of language? Ruins often guide the player in several new words. Ruins are often found by scanning for Monoliths at Signal Scanners.

Monoliths also typically have several language-teaching Knowledge Stones nearby, and can be found the same way. Observatories also reveal these points of interest.

New words can also be picked up by running over small glowing floor panels in Atlas Stations, and by using small, cylindrical wall terminals sometimes found in Shelters.

With their glowing beacons of light jutting into the sky, Signal Scanners are usually spotted by flying low and slow over a planetary surface, and they are especially easy to find at night.

New weapons are most often purchased at kiosks located in some Colony Outposts and Space Stations. Occasionally, new weapons may be offered as rewards by Aliens and terminals.

Multi-Tool Upgrades are often found in small wall kiosks often seen in Shelters or various planetside buildings.

Crashed starships can be located with the help of Signal Scanners. Follow the hacked scanner signal to a Transmission Tower and use the terminal. From there, you'll get a signal that often leads to a crashed starship.

Starship upgrades can also be located in debris at Starship crash sites, located in the same manner as Starships.

You can reliable discover Exo-Suit enhancements like Stamina Boosts by searching terminals in planetside facilities that have been overrun by strange alien life and plant growth.

Exo-Suit Upgrades can be found in two locations: aboard Space Stations and via Drop Pods. The Space Station suits are usually hidden behind locked Atlas Pass v1 doors. The planetside Drop Pods are located using a Signal Scanner and searching for Shelters.

Aliens are typically located on Space Stations, and hang out in some planetside facilities. Aliens can also occasionally be detected using Transmission Towers

Atlas Pass v1 can be discovered on a Space Anomaly, usually encountered after visiting an Atlas Station. v2 and 3 are harder, apparently appearing as random drops in Operations Centers or Manufacturing Facilities.

Shelters may be spotted from the air fairly easily (they're often near Signal Scanners). They can also be spotted by searching for Shelter on a scanner.

Galactic trade terminals exist on all Space Stations, and can also be located in some ground-based facilities and occasionally spotted in tiny free-floating terminals planetside.

Black Holes allow you to take huge shortcuts across the galaxy... if you can find them. To get a location for a Black Hole, visit a Space Anomaly, usually detected after visiting Atlas Stations and ask for directions inside.

Warning: Video Contains Spoilers

If you want to reach the center of the galaxy, you'll want to take advantage of two combined assets: Black Holes (found using Space Anomalies) and improved starship Warp reactors to increase your range. Black Holes help you skip forward significantly, and Warp Reactors increase the distance you can jump between stars.
