Insidious: Chapter 4 Casts Walking Dead, X-Men and Resident Evil Actors

Scheduled to open October next year.

Kirk Acevedo, Bruce Davison, Spencer Locke, and Caitlin Gerard have joined the cast of Insidious: Chapter 4.

This news comes via Deadline, which reports that the actors' characters are being kept secret for now. The horror movie is currently filming, and is scheduled to hit theaters on October 20, 2017.

Avecedo played Mitch Dolgen in Season 4 of The Walking Dead, and has also appeared in the likes of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Band of Brothers. Caitlin Gerard most recently played Aubry Taylor in American Prime, and has appeared in movies like The Social Network and Magic Mike.

Spencer Locke has had roles in Cougar Town, Detention, and in the Resident Evil films. Bruce Davison played Senator Kelly in X-Men and X2, and was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in Longtime Companion.

They join the currently announced cast of Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson, and Leigh Whannell. Whannell is the series co-creator, and has written all four movies so far, as well as directing the third entry. Adam Robitel has taken over the reigns for Chapter 4.
