New to Netflix in September

Luke Cage, Narcos, Longmire, The Walking Dead, Supergirl, and more.

Netflix has a loaded September for us, with the debut of new original series like Marvel's Luke Cage and new seasons of Narcos and Longmire. Plus, notable movies like Saving Private Ryan, Top Gun, Zootopia, Babel, and all four Jaws movies are coming to the streaming service.

TV, however, seems to be the name of the game, with recent seasons of The Walking Dead, Penny Dreadful, Luther, The Blacklist, Galavant, Supergirl, Family Guy, New Girl, and more all landing on the site for your binging purposes.

With Colombian cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) having narrowly escaped prison (one of his own, literal, making) at the end of Season 1, the hunt is on in Season 2 of Netflix's Narcos. But as Agents Murphy (Boyd Holbrook) and Peña (Pedro Pascal) discover, Pablo is never more dangerous than when you almost have him.

Hey, what's Disney's delightful Zootopia doing on Netflix so soon? Well, assumedly, it's due to the new exclusive partnership between Disney and Netflix that makes the streaming site the "exclusive US pay TV home" for the studio's catalog of latest films. Featuring the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, Zootopia tells the tale of a rural rabbit trying to make it as a big city cop.

• Marvel's Luke Cage: Season 1 ­ NETFLIX ORIGINAL

After two season of Daredevil and one of Jessica Jones, we're finally getting Netflix's long-awaited Luke Cage series. Having debuted in Jessica Jones, Mile Colter's Luke is an unbreakable man who becomes Harlem's neighborhood hero, taking on the likes of Mahershala Ali's Cottonmouth and Theo Rossi's Shades. Luke Cage also stars Alfre Woodard (in, yes, a different MCU role than she played in Civil War), Frank Whaley, and Simone Missick as Misty Knight.
