Brace yourselves: E3 2016 is nearly upon us. From June 12-16, the entire gaming industry will converge on Los Angeles to showcase the biggest games that we’ll be playing for 2016 and beyond. We’ve been updating our Games of E3 List whenever news drops, but now we’re going to go even deeper. Every day leading up to the show, we’re going to highlight one of the biggest games that we hope to see more of at E3. Up today: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare!
The last time we saw Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was its official reveal in early May, during Activision’s dedicated live stream for debuting this year’s entry in the franchise.
As divisive as the Call of Duty franchise is every year, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare actually has a lot working in its favor. For starters, since the last IW-developed CoD, the studio has picked up some new blood, including a pair of former Naughty Dog designers, Jacob Minkoff (Design Director) and Taylor Kurosaki (Narrative Director) whose works include the Uncharted series and The Last of Us.
Secondly, Infinite Warfare will take place throughout our solar system and include new customizable vehicles for dog fighting, alongside non-linear side missions in its campaign. All that to say we’re looking at a hugely ambitious kind of Call of Duty campaign experience that could be something really specially. Plus, more zombies, probably in space. Space zombies.
10/10. Activision confirmed that although the company won’t have a traditional booth at the show, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare gameplay footage will most definitely be in attendance.
