Final Fantasy 7 Will Get Its Own Monopoly Game

It's coming in 2017.

Final Fantasy VII Monopoly will be released in April 2017, video game merchandiser Merchoid has revealed.

Modeled after the original "fast dealing property trading" board game, Final Fantasy VII Monopoly will include characters, locations, and lore from the classic 1997 video game. The game will place players in the city of Midgar, where plenty of property business opportunities await.

Final Fantasy VII Monopoly is available for pre-order for $50 USD on the Merchoid site.

Cloud, Aeris, and Sephiroth will be featured in-game, along with more Final Fantasy VII fan favorites. "Whether your plans are to buy housing for the people or build a Mako reactor plant, you'll soon discover the real nature of Sephiroth's evil is the extortionate amount of rent he charges," a press release for the game on All Games Delta reads.

Final Fantasy VII Monopoly will be released April 11, 2017. A date has not been revealed for the upcoming PlayStation 4 remake of Final Fantasy VII, which was one of the big missing games of E3 2016. Square Enix expects to launch the remake in multiple parts, "with each entry providing its own unique experience."
