D&D Movie: Divergent's Ansel Elgort in Talks to Star

Vin Diesel also reportedly interested.

Ansel Elgort (The Divergent Series, The Fault in Our Stars) is reportedly in "early negotiations" to star in Warner Bros.' Dungeons & Dragons movie.

Based on the classic role-playing game, the movie will follow a warrior and his band of creatures as they attempt to locate a mythical treasure. According to previous reports, producers are also looking for a "Vin Diesel-type," while Deadline reports D&D player Vin Diesel himself has expressed interest in the film.

Elgort in The Divergent Series: Allegiant

The script comes from David Leslie Johnson, co-writer of The Conjuring 2 and DC's upcoming Aquaman movie. Goosebumps helmer Rob Letterman will direct.

Producers Roy Lee, Stephen Davis, Brian Goldner, and Courtney Solomon will oversee the project, with Allan Seman, Cate Adams, Drew Crevello, Coral Wright, and Josh Feldman on as executive producers.
