Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn has his eyes on Batgirl.
It's not the first time Refn has expressed interest in a superhero flick; in 2011, the Danish director said he could see himself directing a Wonder Woman film. And while Wonder Woman is getting her own movie—directed by Monster's Patty Jenkins—Refn hasn't given up hope.
"God, I would love to make [a superhero movie], it would probably be great fun," Refn told Business Insider. "I just don't know when it's going to happen. I very much enjoy my freedom creatively, but I also would love to make one of those big Hollywood films that costs a lot of money and has a lot of people running around with cell phones and all that insanity."
With Wonder Woman already nabbed, Refn is interested in a Batgirl film. "Let's get Warner working on it," he added.
Batgirl will reportedly make an appearance Warner Bros. Harley Quinn spin-off, which could be the perfect lead-up to a Batgirl standalone. Your move, Warner Bros.
