Ford Dealership Allegedly Steals Firewatch Artwork

The ad appears to come from a single local dealership.

A Ford dealership in Quincy, Massachusetts has allegedly used artwork from Campo Santo's Firewatch without permission in a new promotion campaign.

The Twitter account for Firewatch co-producer Panic Inc. posted a photo of a dealership ad from Quirk Ford in Massachusetts, which appears to use Firewatch artwork in the promotional image for a Ford Freedom sales event.

The ad appears to only be in use by the local Massachusetts dealership and not as part of a countrywide campaign. IGN has reached out to Ford with a request for comment and will update this story should they respond.

Game Informer reached out to the Quirk Ford dealership by phone and was hung up on when asked about their process for sourcing artwork. Sam Western, of the auto division's advertising department, told Game Informer that "I guess that whoever made the email blast must have grabbed it form the website or something."

Western followed up with Game Informer to direct them to a website he believes the art was taken from, but Campo Santo's Sean Vanaman noted on Twitter that the ad could not have taken the art from this site because the Ford ad also uses elements from Campo Santo's old website.

Campo Santo has no official comment on the possible use of the company's artwork, though members of the development team behind Firewatch and the artwork have acknowledged the ad on Twitter.

@panic @camposanto This is canon now.

I was avoiding Twitter all day due to potential Thrones spoilers. Now I see this hilarious @ford disaster. Feel like Tom Watson at Glasto.
