Arrow's fifth season has gained a new cast member whose character bears close ties to DC superhero Green Lantern.
According to TV Insider, Carly Pope will star in a recurring role on The CW's hit show, as a journalist named Susan Williams, who's "looking to make a name for herself" by writing a story about Oliver Queen. DC Comics fans will know Williams' comic book iteration as the wife of Hal Jordan/Green Lantern's younger brother Jim Jordan.
Williams will make her Arrow debut during Season 5's third episode. In addition to Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen, Pope will be joined by The Walking Dead alum Chad L. Coleman and Evelyn Sharp, who's returning as Artemis in the new season.
In addition to her forthcoming role in Arrow, Pope will star in the upcoming season of Suits, and previously appeared in The CW series The Tomorrow People.
The fifth season of Arrow, which is also set to have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con 2016, premieres on Wednesday, October 7 at 8 pm. In the meantime, check out IGN's review of Arrow: Season 4.
