The Walking Dead is reportedly getting two additional characters during Season 7 of AMC's post-apocalyptic zombie drama.
According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello's unnamed sources, two new characters who apparently aren't from the comics are set to appear in the season's sixth episode.
The first is a "grandmotherly" woman named Naomi who's "willing to do whatever it takes" after having lost many of the people she loved. The other is a "sunny-side-up kinda teenager" named Jennie who has the "world-weary toughness" seen in Emily Kinney's Beth Greene.
It's important to note that AMC has yet to confirm the addition of these two characters. That said, Ausiello's sources have nearly always proven to be right in the past, so we'll likely see both Jennie and Naomi in Season 7.
The Walking Dead returns in October on AMC. In the meantime, find out how Season 7 will serve as the start of a new chapter for the series, and then read up on the great lengths the network has gone to in order to combat spoilers.
