The soundtrack for the long-awaited Last Guardian is now available to order on a 2 LP vinyl set from iam8bit.
Composer Takeshi Furukawa's score is wrapped in a tri-fold sleeve that extends to nearly 3 feet when unfolded. Art for the vinyl set was done by Nimit Malavia, who's perhaps best known for his covers for the Fables comic series.
The records themselves are also artistically rendered, moving away from the glossy black of traditional vinyl and instead the black and white color scheme is evocative of the cover art, with a rough, dream-like, almost marbled pattern to them.
Development on The Last Guardian is complete, after over a decade of development. Originally scheduled to release this month, The Last Guardian was delayed one final time in September and is now on track to release in December.
The vinyl soundtrack can be picked up on iam8bit's store for $35. Expected ship date for the soundtrack is first quarter 2017.
