First Gears of War 4 DLC Multiplayer Maps Release Date Announced

The maps will be available for Season Pass holders first.

The first set of DLC multiplayer maps for Gears of War 4 will come out on November 1 to Season Pass holders, developer The Coalition announced today. It will be accessible in public playlists on November 8.

The Coalition is bringing back two "Legacy Maps," Checkout and Drydock. The first of which takes players to Cole's hometown 25 years after the events of Gears of War 3, now being reclaimed by nature. Taking place in the town's supermarket, players will be able to fight through stores, checkout lanes, and a large, open mall area. Checkout was originally introduced as a multiplayer map in Gears of War 3.

The second map, Drydock, takes place on a dilapidated ship graveyard, allowing for combat on the large vessels and in makeshift cargo container buildings. Like Checkout, Drydock was first in Gears of War 3.

Last week, The Coalition announced a new update coming to Gears of War 4 will adjust balance and quitting penalties.
