Square Enix has just launched a teaser site for a new Final Fantasy game for iOS and Android.
The site (spotted by Gematsu) includes a countdown that currently reads "5 days," as well as a note from Chrono Trigger director and Final Fantasy IV lead designer Takashi Tokita, which says: "Final Fantasy is about characters filled with human appeal. About dramatic battles of anger and sadness. And more than anything, we should not forget that it is about fantasy."
It's also worth noting the iconic art featured on the teaser page is from famed character artist Yoshitaka Amano.
In addition to his work on Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger, Tokita—who currently heads up Square Enix's Business Division 9—was director on a number of other titles at Square Enix, including Parasite Eve and Chocobo Racing.
Next month brings with it the long awaited release of Final Fantasy XV, which launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 29, and will receive a multiplayer mode as its final piece of DLC.
