Level-5 intends to support Nintendo Switch, but won't have any games for the platform ready at launch, according to company CEO Akihito Hino.
"We plan to make games for Nintendo Switch, but I think it’s very important to find out the best way to get the most out of the console," Hino said in an interview with Vandal.net (translation via Gematsu). "For that reason, we won’t have any titles at launch, but we'll work with it as soon as we figure out how to take advantage of it."
Level-5 is the development studio behind the popular 3DS series Yo-Kai Watch, the Professor Layton series, as well as Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, a sequel for which is coming to PlayStation 4. During the interview, Hino shared a few additional details about Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, noting that it will have "many new features," including a kingdom creation system.
"From the fact alone that we moved from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4, it will not be a simple RPG, and will introduce a new system focused on creating a kingdom. So yes, there will be many differences," he said.
Ni No Kuni II was announced last year at PSX 2015 and does not yet have a release date.
