Other Titans! Yes, as far-fetched as it may seem, the absolute best and most consistent way to take down a Titan that might be giving you and your teammates trouble is to get into your own Titans and beat it down yourselves! A few good examples of taking down other Titans using your own would be:
Using the Northstar Titan and sniping enemy Titans from a distance. Remember to charge up your shots by aiming down your sights, and then blast your opponents away multiple times with your sniper rifle.
- Using the Ion and Tone Core abilities to fire a deadly laser or barrage of rockets at any Titans out in the open.
- Double or even triple-teaming on other Titans who might be away from the rest of the team.
The simplest solution is most often the best, so be sure to remember to bring out your Titan whenever you see that your enemy is doing the same!
One of the most standard ways to hurt another Titan while being a Pilot is to jump on the back of them and you will crawl up onto their Titan and either take out one of their batteries or throw a grenade into the Titan. If you take out a battery, not only do you reduce the life of the Titan but you can also use that battery you stole to power up your team's Titans by jumping onto them.
Fair warning, however, as enemy Titans are equipped with electric smoke to prevent Pilots from attempting to take their batteries. If you see yourself taking ticks of damage while on a Titan, along with smoke of gray and purple color, then jump off immediately and get away from the cloud of smoke as well as the Titan. If you play it correctly, the Titan will not be able to see you and you'll be able to escape easily.
Most people would normally opt to use Pistols as their main secondary weapon, but utilizing an Anti-Titan Secondary such as the MGL Mag Launcher or a Charge Rifle can really help your team out whenever the enemy brings out some Titans. They aren't super effective at actually destroying the Titans from full health since you'll easily be noticed and you don't do enough damage to really destroy them fast enough, but they can help damage Titans or finish them off when they're in their last stage of health.
Another thing people might overlook is the Anti-Titan Sentry Boost that you get later on while leveling. This boost is actually quite helpful as you can call it down whenever your enemies have Titans and they will most of the time be too preoccupied with other Titans and Pilots to focus down the turret. By the time they notice it, their Titan will be almost dead and you or your fellow Titans can finish them off easily.
