A real-life school of Witchcraft and Wizardry is opening next year at the Château de Jolibert in Bourgougnague, France.
According to a report by The Huffington Post, the school will be run by Harry Potter fan group Mimbulus Mimbletonia Association and feature an educational experience that spans a total four days. The event will take place from May 25 to May 28, providing classes, meals and three nights of housing for 100 participants who must be at least 16 years old.
The curriculum — inspired by the first novel in J.K. Rowling's beloved series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone — will be presented entirely in French. Over the course of the four days, attendees will not only learn about Charms, Potions, and Botany, they'll also take part in the iconic house sorting ceremony and learn to play Quidditch.
Tickets for the 100 open spots will be available for purchase sometime before year's end. You can check out Mimbulus Mimbletonia's Facbook page for all the details on the French-based Wizarding school.
While the adventures of Harry have come to an end, J.K. Rowling's magical world lives on, with the upcoming release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. While you patiently wait for the movie to hit theaters next month, read up on how the Fantastic Beasts' Grindelwald connection to Harry Potter changes everything for the now five-part film series.
