Fear the Walking Dead Trailer Previews What's to Come

Premiering August 21st on AMC.

AMC released a new trailer for the second half of Fear the Walking Dead at San Diego Comic-Con 2016.

The focus highlighted the separation of the main characters, with Nick (Frank Dillane) walking with the dead and meeting some new faces, including a new character named Luciana played by Danay Garcia. Nick is heading toward Tijuana, and looks like he's skirting death as well on his journey.

Madison (Kim Dickens) is on the hunt to try to find Nick, and the boat she, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Strand (Coleman Domingo) not a safe location anymore. They come across a big hotel that looks to be a new major setting for the show, though it doesn't seem much safer than some of the other buildings the characters have come across.

The trailer didn't tease much of Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Chris's (Lorenzo James Henrie) journey and conflict, other than the fact Travis thinks the world can return from the brink. Chris, meanwhile, remains convinced he can survive on his own. There's also the religious component as the characters struggle to discover on a philosophical level what the zombie apocalypse means. "This is a test," the trailer proclaims. "We will outlast death."

During the Comic-Con panel, showrunner Dave Erickson teased, "For the first time we're going to see our characters learning to survive in the apocalypse in a way they haven't before."
