Play SNES Games With a PS4 Controller

Analogue has a new Retro Receiver for anyone who plays vintage video games on the Super Nintendo.

Analogue, the company behind premium retro goods like the $500 US RGB-enabled Analogue NT, and 8Bitdo, makers of high-quality bluetooth controllers, announced another project: a new wireless bluetooth controller adapter for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

Using the 8Bitdo Retro Reciever for the SNES, retro gamers can wirelessly play classic ‘90s games with any Bluetooth compatible gamepad. The receiver supports a range of controllers made by 8Bitdo as well as Sony’s DualShock 4 and DualShock 3, the Wii remote, and the Wii U Pro Controller.

The adapter works on the Super Nintendo as well as the Japan-only Super Famicom and other aftermarket consoles that use a SNES/SFC controller port.

The Retro Receiver for the SNES is available through online retailer PlayAsia for $24.99 USD. The package includes a receiver and a USB cable. The company announced a wireless NES Retro Receiver last April.
