Kiersey Clemons has reportedly signed on to star opposite Ezra Miller in Warner Bros.' The Flash, according to Variety.
Clemons was reportedly a favorite for director Rick Famuyiwa, who took over as director of The Flash in June. Clemons previously worked with Famuyiwa on 2015's Dope, where the actress starred as Diggy. Most recently, Clemons appeared in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.

It was previously rumored then Clemons would play journalist Iris West, and friend of the Flash's alter-ego Barry Allen. Today, Variety reported that, according to the website's sources, the actress has closed a deal and is "likely" to appear in that role. Warner Bros. has not released more information about the casting.
Ezra Miller's take on The Flash also appeared in the newly released Justice League trailer.
Iris West currently appears on The CW's The Flash, played by Candice Patton. The series, for which a new trailer was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, returns in October
Production is expected to begin this year, with a script from The Flash's original director, Seth Grahame-Smith. Smith's most recent version was based off a story created by The LEGO Movie's Chris Miller and Phil Lord. In April, it was reported Grahame-Smith left The Flash over "creative differences."
The Flash is slated for release on March 16, 2018.
