Iron Galaxy Studios has announced that former VP of Third Party Relations at PlayStation Adam Boyes has joined the company as CEO, effective August 8.
Boyes left PlayStation earlier this month, revealing that he was returning to game development, but made no mention at the time of where he was heading.
As part of Boyes' appointment as CEO of Iron Galaxy, the studio has also announced that Chelsea Blasko has been named Chief Product Officer. Boyes posted a photo of himself, Iron Galaxy founder Dave Lang, and Blasko on Twitter as part of the announcement.
"I’m honored to be working with such a talented team and look forward to creating opportunities and crafting deals that deliver their products to a wider audience," Boyes said in a statement accompanying the announcement.
Iron Galaxy assumed development of Killer Instinct beginning with the game's Season 2, following original developer Double Helix's purchase by Amazon. The studio also co-developed the fighting game Divekick.
During his time at PlayStation, Boyes was a presence at the company's press conferences, and noticeably appeared in a humorous video with PlayStation's Shuhei Yoshida about the ease of sharing games for the PlayStation 4.
