Batman Writer Reveals When Joker Rebirth Story Will Continue

Tom King offers a quick tease.

As the DC universe took its latest major turn with the launch of DC Rebirth, so too arrived a new revelation about the Joker's identity. And now fans will have an idea of when that thread, which has been left hanging, will be picked back up.

During IGN's San Diego Comic-Con livestream, Batman Rebirth writer Tom King revealed that he fully intends on picking up the plotline introduced by Geoff Johns about the Clown Prince of Crime.

Spoilers for Justice League #50 and DC Universe Rebirth follow.

Johns introduced the idea that there are actually three Jokers, but since that idea was first planted, it has yet to be addressed in a major way. King, who you can hear in the video above, explained that readers will see that story continue in Batman Rebirth #9.

King offered no further details about what will happen when he brings that Joker thread up once again, but his tease offers some timeline for when readers can expect more details.
