Event[0] Release Date Announced

Explore an abandoned spaceship while befriending a lonely AI.

Narrative-driven space adventure Event[0] will be released September 14 on PC and Mac through Steam and the Humble Store.

The release date announcement was accompanied by five new screenshots, showing off the game's setting, an uninhabited spacecraft called Nautilus, as well as a look at the sense of humor of your sole companion, a lonely AI named Kaizen.

Developed by Ocelot Society, the game tasks players with speaking to Kaizen while exploring the spacecraft and solving hacking puzzles throughout the environment. Players will also venture outside the ship for spacewalks.

Inspired by sci-fi epics such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Event[0] focuses on the main character's relationship with Kaizen, who is capable of delivering over two million procedurally generated lines of dialogue. While attempting to appease the eccentric AI, you'll also be moving toward your ultimate goal: returning to Earth while simultaneously discovering the history of its fractured society that was left behind.

Event[0] is also looking to take a different route with its musical accompaniment and will not feature a score — instead, music will only come from within the world of the game itself.

For more on Event[0], check out the preview below for 25 minutes of narrated gameplay.
