Two Disney's Epic Mickey spin-offs - titled Epic Donald and Epic Disney Racers - were apparently in development at Junction Point before being cancelled.
The Epic Mickey development studio Junction Point closed in 2013. All that remains of the two projects right now is concept art, which you can see the gallery below.
Disney comic and gaming conceptual artist Patrick Block answered some questions about the Epic Donald project, with his replies posted on the Assembler Games forums.
"In 2012 I had the very great pleasure and honor of working with Warren Spector and Junction Point on a follow up to Disney's Epic Mickey and Epic Mickey II," said Block. "The game was to feature Donald Duck, Duckburg, and the assorted classic world clan. I worked hard on a "Carl Barks" based Duckburg, pulling scenes of the town from his comics and doing my best to keep a 1950's feeling spirit about the game world.
"Sadly, this was about the time Disney decided to switch over to its current gaming, more tablet oriented gaming focus," Block continued. "While we were fully paid for our conceptual work on the project, to date, it has not been made... With the new DuckTales project in the works, I have hopes we still might see the game, with some of our work, get made."
Epic Disney Racers is a shakier prospect, with information first appearing uncredited on the Epic Mickey Wikia. Apparent concept art for the game (seemingly also referred to as Disney Rides at some point in development) shows characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, The Mad Doctor, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Cruella De Vil.
Going by the art, the game would've featured a co-op mode similar to Mario Kart: Double Dash, and Aladdin's Agrabah would have been a playable stage.
