Koei Tecmo has revealed the next beta demo for Nioh will be available from August 23 until September 6.
The first demo released in April, and players who completed one stage will be rewarded with some exclusive launch content when the game eventually comes out.
The upcoming demo will feature a long-range hand cannon rifle, along with a new selection of katanas, spears, axes, and hammers. You'll be taught the basics of the combat system in a new dojo stage, face off against opponents in the Usuki stage from the previous demo, and there will also be another location, which is yet to be announced.
Nioh tells the tale of the first western samurai, William Adams, and the dangerous Yokai, supernatural beings from Japanese folklore. William is aided on his journey across Japan by ninja Hanzo Hattori, as well as Muneshige and Ginchiyo Tachibana who possess their own Raiden guardian spirits. These two can come together to perform a powerful special attack.
Nioh was first announced 12 years ago in 2004, and was planned to be a PlayStation 3 launch game. After a lengthy on-off development, it looks like it will finally be coming to PS4 later this year. For more information, check out IGN's look at Nioh from last year's Tokyo Game Show.
