Iron Fist Coming 2017, First Footage Shown

2017 is going to be a huge year for Netflix and Marvel.

It was confirmed today at Comic-Con that Marvel's Iron Fist is coming to Netflix in 2017, plus we got our first proper glimpse at the series in a 30-second teaser.

Jeph Loeb introduced the footage, which shows a young Danny Rand being discovered by some monks in a snowdrift after surviving a plane crash. It then moved to present day where Danny escapes from a mental institution using, well, his fists. It briefly appeared on Netflix Brazil's Twitter page before being yanked; we'll update once it reappears.

In the meantime, check out the just-released poster featuring the series' logo:

During Comic-Con, Marvel's CCO Joe Quesada said Iron Fist will probably have "more villains" than any other Marvel/Netflix show.
