Get Ready for Another Batman/TMNT Crossover

Bringing Turtle Power to the DC Animated Universe.

Good news for fans of the recent crossover comics Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War. DC and IDW will be continuing their partnership and debuting new crossovers in late 2016.

First up will be another Batman/TMNT mash-up. This new mini-series won't be a sequel to the first, however. Whereas the original book paired the New 52 Batman characters with the Turtles from IDW's current TMNT comic, this crossover will combine the casts of Batman: The Animated Series and Nickelodeon's CG-animated TMNT cartoon.

Dubbed Batman/TMNT Adventures, this mini-series will be written by Matthew K. Manning (Beware the Batman) and drawn by artist Jon Sommariva (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Amazing Adventures). The series will debut in November 2016.

On the other hand, the new Star Trek/Green Lantern mini-series (which doesn't have an official title yet) will be a direct sequel to the first. This book will pick up where the original left off as Captain Kirk and the Enterprise crew again cross paths with Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. IDW's press release teases that the sequel will add "additional cosmic heroes and villains familiar to fans of both series."

The new series will reunite writer Mike Johnson and artist Angel Hernandez. IDW didn't reveal a firm release date, but the first issue is expected to ship in Winter 2016.
