Jona Xiao Joins Spider-Man Homecoming

Actress Jona Xiao will appear in Sony-Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming, alongside Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Marisa Tomei.

Details surrounding her character are still unknown, according to Variety. Directed by Jon Watts, with a script by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, Spider-Man: Homecoming will also star Hannibal Buress, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, and Logan Marshall-Green.

Xiao is known for her role in AMC's Halt and Catch Fire. She can also be seen in Fox's Keeping Up With the Joneses and in Fox Searchlight's Gifted.

Details on Spider-Man: Homecoming have been slowly rolling out, with new reports saying that Zendaya will be playing a key role in the film. Sony has not confirmed the report. It's also been reported that Orange Is the New Black actor Michael Chernus will star as Phineas Mason, the Tinkerer.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is slated for release on July 7, 2017.
