Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has revealed more information about the game in a recent episode of Active Time Report.
The original video in Japanese has been translated by DualShockers. There will be another episode on June 13, just before E3 begins.
According to the video, Final Fantasy XV won't be a truly open world game, but as you progress through the story the number of places you can go will increase. You will be able to fast travel back to places you have camped at, and you will be able to save the game anywhere.
While the full details haven't been revealed yet, there will be something similar to a skill tree to learn new abilities. The full range of weapons hasn't been revealed yet either, but there will be seven types, each with a lot of variety.
As for the car, it will be faster than Chocobos. Once you get a flying car, if you crash land, that will be game over and you'll have to return to before the flight. There are gameplay mechanics involved in taking off and landing, with landing being slightly harder.
Also, you won't have the ability to climb in the game.
Fans who have been wondering about the graphical downgrade between the two demos have been asked to wait for E3.
Square Enix likes the idea of a PlayStation 4 bundle, but say it depends on Sony. In addition, the next episode of the Final Fantasy XV anime will come out around E3.
Final Fantasy XV is due for release on September 30. IGN has a hub showing off behind the scenes features from the new game for you to check out.
