Update: Microsoft has confirmed that it has entirely discontinued the original Xbox One model.
In a statement to Glixel, the company said: "As is typical for the console industry, we stopped manufacturing the original Xbox One when we introduced Xbox One S."
The major differences between Xbox One and its S successor are the lack of a Kinect port, 4K video playback and HDR support.
Original story: With Xbox One X on the not too distant horizon, it appears Microsoft has stopped selling the original Xbox One in favor of shifting its entire sales focus to the S and X models.
Microsoft's UK online store lists the console as sold out, while its US store only has listing for a refurbished version.
The company ceased manufacturing of the original Xbox One several months ago, but until now, the console was still available for purchase though Microsoft's online store. IGN has reached out to Microsoft for comment and will provide an update if we receive a response.
This isn't particularly surprising given the impending arrival of Xbox One X, which set a new preorder record for the company, as well as upcoming Minecraft and Shadow of War Xbox One S bundles, which were unveiled earlier this week at Gamescom.
