The first private multiplayer beta test for Call of Duty: WW2 is now over, and Sledgehammer has taken to the game's community page to detail some changes they're working on based on feedback from the beta, which this time round was exclusively for PS4 players.
The list is fairly wide-ranging and covers a multitude of areas, but in addition to general bug fixes Sledgehammer has also responded to player feedback regarding playlist variety; in addition to making fixes to improve this, they've added: "You know what else would improve it? More maps and modes". It seems like a safe bet to expect some upcoming announcements on this.
In addition, Sledgehammer is working on optimising various aspects of the game before launch, including some point adjustments (increasing Dom kills to 100 points), improvements to areas such as hit feedback and paratrooper strength/cost balancing, and some damage adjustments (players are reporting that incendiary shells are too powerful, and that recon aircraft are too vulnerable to rifle damage).
The full list is fairly expansive and it certainly seems that Sledgehammer is taking on board player concerns from the beta weekend to make improvements as the full game gears up for launch.
There will be a second beta weekend running from this Friday, September 1 (10 am PT/ 1 pm ET/ 6 pm BST/ Saturday, September 2, 3 am AEST) to Monday, September 4 (end time to be confirmed) - and this second beta weekend is open to both PS4 and Xbox One players who have preordered the game.
