Ant-Man and the Wasp First Look at Hope in Costume

Buzzing into theaters in 2018.

While Marvel has previously unveiled looks at The Wasp art — and the costume on display in the original Ant-Man, star Evangeline Lilly has offered a first look at the actress as Hope van Dyne suited up.

Lilly tweeted out the photo of what appears to be Hope in a classroom in honor of what would have been Jack Kirby's 100th birthday today, saying "I am honoured to be on set today playing #TheWasp on what would be Jack Kirby's 100th birthday."

Lilly previously tweeted a photo of The Wasp in full costume on display at D23 Expo. Lilly stars in Ant-Man and the Wasp alongside Paul Rudd, Michael Pena, Michael Douglas and Game of Thrones' Hannah John-Kamen. Fresh Off the Boat star Randall Park recently joined the cast as SHIELD agent Jimmy Woo. The sequel is scheduled to hit theaters July 6, 2018, with Ant-Man director Peyton Reed back at the helm.

Multiple casting announcements for the film were made at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, including that Michelle Pfeiffer will star as Hope's mother Janet van Dyne. Laurence Fishburne will also star as Dr. Bill Foster, who, in Marvel comics, is the heir to the Giant-Man mantle.
