The Predator Adds Battlestar Galactica Actor to Cast

The Predator has added a veteran actor and Battlestar Galactica star to its cast.

The Hollywood Reporter reports Edward James Olmos, known for his role as William Adama in Battlestar Galactica, has joined director Shane Black’s reboot of the sci-fi series. Olmos will play a military character, though not much else is known about his role.

Olmos joins a cast that includes Logan star Boyd Holbrook as the lead, along with Olivia Munn, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen, Sterling K. Brown, Keegan-Michael Key, Jacob Tremblay, and Trevante Rhodes. Black is directing from a script by Fred Dekker. Shooting has already started in Vancouver and the film is slated to hit theaters February 9, 2018.

Along with having a role in The Predator, Olmos is also set to star in FX's Sons of Anarchy spinoff, Mayans MC, and will reprise his iconic role as Gaff in Blade Runner 2049.
