Justice League: Report Disputes Massive Runtime Rumor

Not 20 minutes longer than Batman v Superman after all?

Despite rumors that Justice League will have a runtime of 170 minutes, making it 20 minutes longer than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the length of the film apparently has yet to be finalized.

According to TheWrap, "an individual with close knowledge of the project" said the film isn't 2 hours and 50 minutes in length. Justice League reportedly isn't finished yet, and as such, the filmmakers have not yet determined the film's exact length.

Rumors regarding Justice League's alleged runtime surfaced earlier this week when social media chatter claimed the film would be 170 minutes long. Additionally, IMDb's listing for the movie indicates that Justice League will be 2 hours and 50 minutes in length.

In the event the film does have a 170-minute runtime, that would make Justice League longer than not only Batman v Superman, but also several other rather long comic book films, including The Dark Knight Rises, Superman Returns and X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder and opens in theaters on November 17, 2017. For more on the upcoming DC film, check out this collection of Justice League posters and watch the video below to see our analysis of the new trailer.
