Katie Cassidy Returning to Arrow as a Series Regular

Black Siren is back.

Actress Katie Cassidy isn't just coming back for a couple of Arrow episodes this season, she's actually returning as a series regular.

The actress will be a permanent addition to Arrow with Season 6. Cassidy, who started with the WB series portraying Laurel Lance/Black Canary, is now known as Black Siren.

"This year, our midseason finale reintroduced us to Laurel’s doppelgänger, Black Siren. We were so taken by Katie’s fearless interpretation of this character that we knew her story was not yet finished," said Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim in a statement.

Black Siren originally popped up on The Flash, as Cassidy plays the Earth-2 version of Laurel Lance. She'll also appear in episodes 522 and 523 of Arrow soon.

Now Cassidy isn't the only familiar face who will be seen on Arrow in the near future. Wrestling star Cody Rhodes will show up on the DC series again as the villainous Derek Sampson.
