Mission: Impossible 6 Won't Star Jeremy Renner

Hawkeye to appear in two upcoming MCU films.

Mission: Impossible 6 reportedly won't feature the return of Jeremy Renner's William Brandt.

According to Showbiz 411, the actor is instead busy with two upcoming MCU movies. In addition to Marvel's The Avengers: Infinity War, Renner will reportedly also make an appearance as Hawkeye in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Potentially filling the void left by Renner's absence from MI:6 is Superman actor Henry Cavil, whose involvement in the project was announced earlier this month by director Christopher McQuarrie. Last month, McQuarrie shed light on the film, saying it will feature a few familiar faces and provide a different look at Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt, when it opens in theaters on July 27, 2018.

Meanwhile, Avengers: Infinity War opens on May 4, 2018, just ahead of Ant-Man and the Wasp, which will be released two months later on July 6.
