Paramount Pictures screened roughly twenty of footage from Transformers: The Last Knight at CinemaCon on Tuesday evening.
Director Michael Bay, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, and cast members Mark Wahlberg, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Laura Haddock, Isabela Moner, and Jerrod Carmichael were all there to promote the film -- Bay's last at the helm -- to hundreds of members of The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) as well as the press.
While the agreement I signed before the presentation prevents me from a blow-by-blow description of the footage, I can detail these 10 highlights (pointed out in the slideshow below). Beware of some SPOILERISH details:
The overall impression the extended footage left me with is that if one is tired of Bay's Transformers franchise then The Last Knight won't suddenly change the way you feel about it. But if you're a passionate fan of those movies' aesthetic and bombast then Transformers: The Last Knight will offer you much more of what you enjoy (as well as an expansion of the series' mythology).
Transformers: The Last Knight opens June 23.
