No More Expendables for Sylvester Stallone

Stallone reportedly passed up on his biggest upfront payday.

Sylvester Stallone won't be returning for another Expendables movie.

Deadline reports Stallone has left the franchise completely, as he couldn't agree on a creative vision for the fourth installment with series producer Avi Lerner. Stallone was particularly concerned over the director and script for The Expendables 4, and just couldn't come to an agreement with Lerner.

It's also been reported that Stallone passed up on what could've been his biggest upfront payday ever at over $20 million. However, in an interview with Deadline, Lerner revealed he isn't ready to throw in the towel yet, and believes something can still be worked out to bring Stallone back on board.

"I don’t think it’s over, but write whatever you want," Lerner said. "In my opinion, it’s not dead.”

Whether or not Stallone will return for The Expendables 4, you can still watch him in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, where he's reportedly playing an unknown, important character in the MCU.
