Yes, the Doof Warrior Will Be in the Next Mad Max Film

"If we get to make another movie, the Doof Warrior will be there!”

The Doof Warrior, the blind guitarist from Mad Max: Fury Road, will show up in the next film, according to director George Miller.

In an interview with The Independent, Miller confirmed the character will make some sort of an appearance in the next Mad Max movie. The director revealed that, thanks to the long delay of completing and releasing Fury Road, Miller was able to really get into the backstories of every single character in the film. As a result, Miller knows the who Doof Warrior's "mother was."

"I know how it was that a man who is mute and blind survived the apocalypse," said Miller "I know his story very well! If we get to make another movie, the Doof Warrior will be there!”

Elsewhere in the interview, Miller revealed that he already co-wrote two scripts with Nico Lathouris. Miller confirmed that, with Tom Hardy already said to be committed to the franchise, the next movie will be titled Mad Max: The Wasteland.

“Somewhere, if the planets align, there will be two other films," said Miller.

Miller confirmed last year that he isn't done with Mad Max just yet and has more planned for the franchise. The director is also reportedly one of the top choices for Warner Bros. to helm the Green Lantern Corps.
