Seth Rogen Teases Movie About a Disastrous Music Festival

"Thinking about suing Fyre Festival for stealing our idea."

A new film project from Seth Rogen and The Lonely Island about a disastrous music festival is reportedly in the works.

In a post on Twitter, Seth Rogen announced he's working with The Lonely Island (the parody rap group comprised of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer) on a movie that has a plot very similar to what transpired this weekend at the Fyre Festival. "This seems like a good time to mention the movie we are making with @thelonelyisland about a music festival that goes HORRIBLY WRONG," Rogen said.

Shortly thereafter, The Lonely Island retweeted Rogen's post, adding, "For real, thinking about suing #FyreFestival for stealing our idea."

What was intended to be a luxury music and art festival held on a remote island in the Bahamas, Fyre Festival has failed to live up to its promise and turned out to be a disastrous event, thanks to a lack of preparation and poor unfavorable weather conditions.

Aside from this brief tease on social media by Rogen and The Lonely Island, no further details on the film project have been revealed.

Rogen produced and starred in the 2016 adult comedy Sausage Party (read IGN's review). Earlier this month, it was announced that Rogen and Evan Goldberg will direct, write, and produce the film adaptation of Invincible. The actor is also reportedly in final negotiations to voice the warthog Pumbaa in Disney's live-action remake of The Lion King.
