The Miz Wants to Play DC's Booster Gold

"I’ve always wanted to play Booster Gold."

WWE and Marine 5: Battleground star Mike "The Miz" Mizanin wants to play DC superhero Booster Gold.

In an interview with Uproxx, The Miz said he'd love to do either a Marvel or DC movie, with his dream role being Deadpool. But since the loud-mouthed mercenary is already taken by Ryan Reynolds, with The Miz admitting Reynolds "knocked it out of the park and did an absolutely incredible job" playing the character, The Miz's second choice would be Booster Gold.

"Yeah, I mean a lot of the main ones are kind of taken. I've always wanted to play Booster Gold," The Miz said, adding that it "would be pretty fun."

Booster Gold, created in 1986, is a DC hero who travels from the 25th century to the 20th century to stage high-publicity heroics. He is often depicted as a glory-seeking showboat and is an excellent athlete. News of a live-action film centered around Booster Gold and Blue Beetle, directed by Greg Berlanti, surfaced in 2015. According to Berlanti, the movie won't be part of the DC Extended Universe.
