You Can Transfer Data From Nintendo 3DS to New 2DS XL

The new handheld releases on June 15.

For those looking to purchase the recently announced New 2DS XL, Nintendo has confirmed you'll be able to transfer your data from any Nintendo 3DS to the New 2DS XL.

“Yes. It is possible to perform a system transfer from any system in the Nintendo 3DS family to New Nintendo 2DS XL," a Nintendo representative told IGN.

The New Nintendo 2DS XL will hit store shelves in the U.S. on July 28 and in Australia/New Zealand on June 15 and will cost USD $150/AUD $200. According to Nintendo, the new handheld will have a list of features that sits between the Nintendo 2DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL systems.

Though New 2DS XL is lighter than the New 3DS XL, it still packs the same large screen and power but with visuals that'll only be displayed in 2D. The New 2DS XL will be launching with two new games for the Nintendo 3DS family: Hey! PIKMIN and Miitopia.
