D23 Expo 2017 Panel Lineup Announced

Disney is promising a few surprises at the event.

Disney has revealed its full Hall D23 panel lineup for this year's D23 Expo, which takes place from July 14 to July 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Disney CEO Bob Iger will kick off the event at 10 a.m. PT with the Legends Awards Ceremony that honors this year’s Disney Legends Award recipients, which includes the likes of Stan Lee, Oprah Winfrey, and the late Carrie Fisher.

Following the ceremony, Pixar and Disney Animation Studios will take the stage at 2:30 p.m. PT to showcase their film projects for 2017 and beyond. Some of the movies that'll be in attendance are The Incredibles 2, Coco, and Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2. Disney is also promising a few surprises during the panel.

On July 15 at 10:30 a.m. PT Disney, Lucasfilm, and Marvel will showcase their slate of upcoming films. Though Disney didn't provide a list of movies that'll be at the panel, likely possibilities include Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Thor: Ragnarok, and more to be shown in some capacity, as 2015's D23 Expo featured The Force Awakens and Doctor Strange, among other movies.

At 3 p.m. PT, Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek will be sharing what's new and some other upcoming attractions that fans can expect at Disney Parks and Resorts. It was recently announced that Star Wars land will open in Disneyland in 2019 and Pandora: The World of Avatar will open in Disney World on May 27, 2017.

Eight-time Oscar-winner Alan Menken will close out the event on July 16 with two one-man shows at 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Registration for tickets to D23 Expo 2017 is currently open.
