Marvel's The Inhumans now has a queen, as Graceland's Serinda Swan will play Medusa on the ABC television series.
The Smallville veteran — she played Zatanna Zatara on some episodes — is the newest cast addition announced for The Inhumans by Marvel. Swan will star as the Queen of the Inhumans and wife of Black Bolt, portrayed by Hell on Wheels actor Anson Mount.
Medusa has total control over her hair, letting her use it similar to how people move their hands.
“Serinda empowers Medusa’s regal glory and still maintains a relatability that synced perfectly with the character,” said head of Marvel TV and the show's executive producer Jeph Loeb in a statement. “She is nothing short of wonderful.”
Swan also joins Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon on The Inhumans. He'll portray Maximus, the brother of Black Bolt.
The Inhmans will debut with a two-week run this September at IMAX theaters. Then, the Marvel series will show up for eight episodes on Tuesday nights on ABC starting September 26.
