The Lion King: Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner Will Reportedly Play Timon and Pumbaa

Both actors are reportedly in final negotiations.

Disney's live-action The Lion King remake may have found its Timon and Pumbaa.

According to TheWrap, Seth Rogen (Superbad) and Billy Eichner (Billy on the Street) are rumored to be playing the upbeat duo, with Rogen voicing the warthog Pumbaa and Eichner taking on the role of the meerkat Timon.

Both actors are reportedly in final negotiations to join director Jon Favreau's remake, though nothing has been officially confirmed. IGN has reached out to Disney and will update this story with any comment we receive.

The Lion King will hit theaters on July 19, 2019.

Donald Glover will play main character Simba and James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Simba's father, Mufasa. Beyonce Knowles is also rumored to be up for the role of Nala, but nothing's set in stone just yet.
