The Mummy Trailer Teaser and Poster Revealed

Full trailer will debut this Sunday.

Ahead of the movie's first trailer debuting this Sunday, the first teaser trailer for the upcoming The Mummy reboot, starring Tom Cruise, has been released along with a striking new poster.

The teaser only lasts 15 seconds, but it does give a good hint at just how powerful the Mummy is, and the type of globetrotting danger Tom Cruise will be in. The teaser, interestingly, also welcomes audiences to a "new world of Gods and monsters", hinting that there might be more than one Universal monster showing up.

The film will take place during present day, unlike the original 1932 movie. Tom Cruise joined the film earlier this year along with Star Trek Beyond's Sofia Boutella, who'll be playing the titular villain this time around.

The rest of the cast includes Russel Crowe as Dr. Henry Jekyll, Jake Johnson, Annabelle Wallis, and Courtney B. Vance.

The Mummy will hit theaters June 9, 2017.

Universal is planning to kick off its shared monsters universe with this film, and it wants Javier Bardem to play Frankenstein in a separate movie. Johnny Depp is also rumored to be playing the Invisible Man in a different film as well.
