17 Photos from Dragon Ball's 30th Anniversary Pop Up Cafe

Dragon Ball first aired on Japanese TV in 1986.

What better way to celebrate 2016 being the 30th anniversary of Dragon Ball than by eating your way through food and beverage versions of the characters?

During a recent trip to Tokyo, we made a pit stop at the Dragon Ball 30th anniversary pop up cafe at Tower Records in Shibuya to try to sample as many of the Dragon Ball tie-in food and drink items as we could. Click right to view the photo gallery of our culinary adventure.

The first episode of the Dragon Ball anime made its debut on Fuji TV on February 26, 1989. Since then, the anime has spawned multiple spin-off series, all the way from the beloved Dragon Ball Z (which ran from 1989 to 1996) though the currently airing Dragon Ball Super.
