DC's Legends of Tomorrow will Meet George Lucas

He's part of the next time aberration.

SPOILERS: The following article contains the basic plot synopsis for an upcoming episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

A young George Lucas is set to make an appearance in DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

After the recent reveal of Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) working as a director in 1967 Los Angeles, Entertainment Weekly reports that the character will cross paths with a young Lucas in the upcoming winter premiere.

Lucas, who will be played by Matt Angel (Grimm), will be a major part of of the episode, titled “Raiders of the Lost Art,” which will have consequences for Nate (Nick Zano) and Ray (Brandon Routh). According to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, episode 209’s time aberration will involve Lucas, and it causes him to never make Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Wars.

“As a result, Ray, who became an engineer because of Star Wars, and Nate, who became a historian because of Raiders, slowly start to lose their brilliance, because those things that inspired them to become who they are didn’t exist,” Guggenheim told EW.

Guggenheim says that the winter premiere "is going to be the episode where we’ll say that the show found a new gear in terms of how zany it can be, or it’s the episode that’s going to get us all fired."

DC's Legends of Tomorrow will return on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. In the meantime, check out what IGN thought of the show’s latest episode.
