Ahead of the film's release next year, a new photo from Stephen King's It has been revealed.
The image, which comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, offers yet another creepy look at Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise the clown. This time, however, he's seen lurking in the sewer system below Derry, Maine.
With regard to why Pennywise is such a disturbing character, director Andres Muschietti told EW it's because he doesn't cower in the shadows but instead is "front and center, and he does his show. He has an act. So it's weird all the time, and every little thing implies a further threat."
Stephen King's It opens in theaters on September 8, 2017. For more on the film, find out what Skarsgard had to say about playing the character first brought to life by Tim Curry in the 1990 TV movie adaptation.
